Future ideas

Travelling around the UK will hopefully be is easy, we’re starting in the right place and we don’t need any flights to get here.  We might need to take some ferries but generally we’re looking at a fairly easy time!  All the language will stay the same and we will recognise most of the food!  This is good for me though, I think we’ll want to have a nice easy transition to travelling.

I can’t quite stop myself from thinking about the future though.  I’m not making any firm plans or anything lke that, but I am certainly hoping we’ll be able to still travel extensively after our ‘gap year’.

I long for more exotic countries, the challenge of speaking a new language and the different culture shining through buildings and people.  I want to share this with the kids and James who up until now have only really known beach resorts in Portugal and the Canary Islands.

If we decide to carry on our travels after 2013, which I really, really hope will happen we’re going to be looking at possibly France, Spain or maybe Italy to start with.  We might drive there and take our campervan, we might take a car, or we might look for flights and use public transport when we get there.  Bravofly times for cheap airfares will be a resource we may look up when I’m doing my thing and researching costs and options.  I do love researching! It’s my favourite thing at the moment.

If we decide we’ll go transatlantic then we even might consider a cruise ship as  I found out today that sometimes they have great last minute deals.  Not sure, quite how M will take to the idea of being on a ship for so long though!  He’s not very happy about the ferry to Ireland we have planned!

I’m really not sure what the future will hold for us all but one thing I do know, is that we will be looking to the coast all the time and wanting to explore beaches!  One day we might get fed up of exploring different beaches, but until then we will keep going!
