My page showing The Plan is a bit outdated, so I should at least update a bit on what our vague plans are for the future.
I’ve talked before about not planning, and I think if we didn’t have time restraints or such a tight budget for travel then I’d be inclined to not plan at all. But the fact is we do and some vague plan will be useful for us.
We’re heading to France first now. Various reasons: we’re not sure how the camper will fare and we’d like to go somewhere new in it before it breaks on us and it’s exciting going to somewhere with a different language and culture. One of the biggest reasons is it’s more camper friendly than the UK is so I think will be a great introduction for us. We’re spending 2 months there exploring (our breakdown is limited to 60 days), we might manage to get over the border to Spain as well, and then we’ll be back in the UK for mid June.
So, summer is going to be in the UK. Marcus wants to be in Cornwall for his birthday and maybe we’ll do a mackerel fishing trip (he is obsessed by fishing!!) from somewhere like here. (link so I don’t lose it!) We’ll probably then go to Scotland for the midge season. Not what I wanted really, but it fits better with our plans and how annoying can the midge be? Hmm, yeah, quite annoying!! 😉
September and October we’re aiming to be back in Europe, hopefully heading down the east of France/Switzerland and into Italy. Italy is big on the kids lists. Well actually on all of our lists!
After that we’ll either have run out of money or we’ll be looking for somewhere warm to spend the winter. It could be Spain, we’ve fancied that for a while. But we’re also talking about Tunisia and Egypt as well. All that is very vague though but exciting nonetheless.
So there you have it. An outline of our plans. I know they’ll change though!
